Recruiting Now!
Come and join our friendly choir, for the chance to sing Duruflé Requiem and Haydn Nelson Mass with a professional orchestra in Romsey Abbey in 2026!
Singing in a choir offers numerous benefits, including improvements in mental and physical health, social connections, and even cognitive function. It can reduce stress, increase lung capacity, boost self-esteem, and foster a sense of community.

Rehearsals
We rehearse on Wednesday evenings 7.45pm – 9.30pm in Itchen Abbas & Avington Village Hall, where there is ample free parking, disabled toilets and step-free access making it accessible to all.
No Auditions
We are proud to be a non-auditioned choir and whilst the ability to read music is useful as we do sing large choral works, it isn’t essential. Audio learning materials are sent round to aid those of us who find it useful (and those of us who can read music find it useful too!). It’s also never too late to learn a new skill, there are some fantastic free courses on YouTube if you wanted to brush up or start a new pursuit, and you will learn a lot faster surrounded by new friends to support you.

Annual Subscriptions
We are a non-profit choir, and any proceeds we make from concerts is donated to charities of the choirs choosing. There is an annual subscription to cover the costs of hall hire, music hire, and to secure the incredibly talented professional accompanists, conductors, soloists and orchestras we get to work with. The annual subscription is currently set at £40 for the autumn term and £60 for the spring-summer term.
Please get in touch below, and we will get back to you as soon as possible with suggested dates for you to come for a free taster evening to get to know everyone.
